RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process through which non-baptized men and women, as well as  those baptized in a different faith tradition who wish to become Catholic, enter the Catholic Church.

It is also intended for persons who were baptized Catholic but never received First Communion or Confirmation.  RCIA is not just a program; it is a journey we make together with the Catholic community in search of God.

If you are an adult who is interested in becoming Catholic or are already Catholic but wish to receive the sacraments of Holy Communion and/or Confirmation, call Barb at 793-7373, ext. 214. for more information, or email her at broedel@stpiusri.org

Have you always wanted to learn more about the Catholic Faith?

Were you baptized as a Catholicbut never received the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation?

St. Pius invites you to a process of prayer, study and reflection for those who are considering joining the Catholic church.

Pray for the RCIA Catechumens and Candidates

"Please continue to pray for our RCIA catechumens and candidates as they prepare in these weeks to embrace publicly before us the response to discipleship in Jesus Christ. This is an especially intense period of scrutiny (questioning) whether they want to receive and live the gift of faith in Jesus.

It is also good for us to reflect upon this question as well every day of our lives. We are all called to be salt and light for the world, to proclaim the message of Jesus, that he is Lord and Savior by his death and resurrection". ~ Msgr. Merdian
