Perpetual adoration
Oh Come Let Us Adore Him!
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you!” - James 4:8
We have had Perpetual Adoration here at St. Pius for more than 25 years. August 6th, 2019, marked 25 years of Perpetual Adoration at St. Pius X. What a blessing! In 1983, Pope John Paul II asked all priests to begin Perpetual Adoration in their parishes. In 1994, under the guidance of Msgr. Raymond Boyle and working with Bob & Mary Carton, Perpetual Adoration began at St. Pius. Two years later, due to Mary Carton’s poor health, Margaret Wadsworth became co-coordinator with Bob Carton. Our parish has received many blessings over the past 25 years. Many individuals also have received special blessings through their weekly prayer time in our Perpetual Adoration Chapel.

“The purpose of the Holy Hour is to encourage deep personal encounter with Christ. The holy and glorious God is constantly inviting us to come to Him, to hold converse with Him, to ask for such things as we need and to experience -what a blessing there is in fellowship with Him.” - Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
