Rite of Christian Initiation of adults (RCIA)

Have you always wanted to learn more about the Catholic Faith?
If you or someone you know is interested in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) who desires to grow in faith, learn more about what Catholics believe or desires to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Communion and/or Confirmation, please consider joining RCIA this September.

We would love to have you as part of our faith journey for the year. We meet on Tuesday evenings in McCarthy Hall from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

If you have questions, contact the parish office for more information or to sign up. Brochures for RCIA are in the wooden cabinets by the church doors.

Were you baptized as a Catholic but never received the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation?
St. Pius invites you to a process of prayer, study and reflection for those who are considering joining the Catholic church.

What is RCIA?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process through which non-baptized men and women, as well as  those baptized in a different faith tradition, who wish to become Catholic, enter the Catholic Church.

It is also intended for those who were baptized Catholic but never received First Communion or Confirmation.  RCIA is not just a program; it is a journey we make together with the Catholic community in search of God.

If you are an adult who is interested in becoming Catholic or are already Catholic but wish to receive the sacraments of Holy Communion and/or Confirmation, call the rectory (309)793-7373

RCIA Begins TBD
6:30 - 8:30 pm. in McCarthy Hall

For more information, please call the parish office (309-793-7373) or send an email to one of the following:

We look forward to this journey with you!

Congratulations and Welcome to our newest members of the Catholic Faith Community!

We are so happy to have you as disciples of Jesus who can help us renew the world for Christ by our love of Jesus and our willingness to share the gift of faith. Please say hello to them, welcome them and continue to pray for them.

Congratulations and Welcome to the newly Baptized!

Congratulations to our 8 children and their parents and families who received the gift of Baptism at the Easter Vigil. They were welcomed into the life of Jesus and were Baptized in the Lord with all their sins washed away. There are so many young people who are not Baptized or who have not received their Sacraments that we want to encourage them to embrace the faith and make a contact so as to help their children as parents to know and receive the grace that God wants to give to them through the Church. Welcome, little children of God!

We welcome all of them and encourage you to say hello and congratulations when you see them.
