FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Parents are the primary teachers of the faith and, therefore, are responsible for preparing their children for the Sacraments. The Church understands that this task can be difficult, so it provides a purpose-driven curriculum to assist families in their children's faith formation.
Those attending Jordan Catholic School receive preparation during their normal religion class. Those attending home, private, or public schools receive preparation through the Children's Religious Education Program (CCD) offered on Wednesday afternoons, 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Requirements for Reception of First Communion:
Children are in second grade or have reached the age of seven
Children have been Baptized
Children have been enrolled in two consecutive years of religious instruction, whether at a Catholic parochial school, CCD, or an approved homeschool curriculum
RECONCILIATION
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered at the following times:
Monday through Saturday: 6:40 a.m. - 6:55 a.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Wednesday: 5:10 p.m. - 5:25 p.m.
First Reconciliation is celebrated by second-graders in preparation for their First Holy Communion. Those attending Jordan Catholic School receive preparation during their regular religion class. Those attending home, private, or public schools receive preparation through the Children's Religious Education Program (CCD).
During Advent and Lent, the parish also celebrates a reconciliation service. This allows our parish family to come together to pray, to ask for forgiveness, and to have the opportunity to also receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during these penitential seasons.

HOLY ORDERS
A calling by God is such a gift and a joy! As Jesus tells us, "The harvest is great, but laborers are few, so beg the harvest master to bring more laborers to his harvest."
Are you being called to a vocation of service to God and his holy people? Here are some simple steps to follow to find out if you are:
Pray every day. Have a solid prayer life where you can talk to God and listen for his call.
"Lord, help me to be, what you want me to be."
Go to Mass regularly, including daily Mass, so that you can experience the greatest sacrifice that priests are privileged to share.
Go to Confession regularly, so that your soul can be a place where Christ resides and directs you to respond to his invitation.
Pray to find a worthy spiritual director who can answer your questions so as to help you discern God's call.
Talk to your parish priest or Vocation Director to get further assistance.
Visit our Vocation Station, located just outside the Adoration Chapel, for free discernment materials and more information.
